I have some superbas (Stachys grandiflora) in different flowerbeds around our garden. They seem to bloom at different times, maybe it depends on the amount of the light in that flowerbed they are. The first ones have now begun to bloom. Superbas are modest perennials. Aphids don't like these flowers and superbas bloom long and beautifully, if you remember to fertilize them enough earlier in the summer.

Erigeron speciosus are also blooming. The pink ones seem to start their blooming earlier than the light purple ones. The pink flowers are stronger than the purple ones which spread easier. These perennials are easy to garden. They love the Sun, but they also like to be in a little shadow. If they are fertilized well, they will bloom at least for four weeks.
